International Idiocy still Prevails
by Isi Leibler
Over 120 countries - equating to two thirds of total United Nations membership - convened in Teheran to partake in the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) hosted by the Iranian Islamic Republic.
The Iranians boasted that 3 Kings, 27 presidents, 8 Prime Ministers and 50 Foreign Ministers attended. Egypt's President Mohamed Morsy was present, breaching Egypt's long standing estrangement from Iran which he now describes as "a strategic ally", even though he condemned Assad's regime in Syria. India, the world's most populous democracy, participated with a delegation of 250 headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, stating shamelessly that its objective was to increase trade and commerce with Iran.
Despite appeals from the United States and others, UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, also attended. He did so only days after his condemnation of Iran for defying repeated Security Council resolutions, demanding that it end its uranium enrichment program and repeatedly contravening the UN Charter by calling for the destruction of Israel.
In his address to participants, Ban, without explicitly naming Iran, did condemn "threats by any member state to destroy one another, or outrageous attempts to deny historical facts such as the Holocaust". He also called on Iran to stop supplying arms to Assad in Syria and expressed regret that Iran had refused to halt its nuclear enrichment program.
...representatives from 120 nations, the UN Secretary General's presence effectively provided legitimacy to Iran and sabotaged efforts to isolate it as a pariah state, the regime which serves as a launching pad for global terrorism.
- (All of them gave credence to the barbaric, genocidal Islamic regime and astonishingly, still feel good and proud of themselves!)
...The willingness of so many countries to attend such a conference in Teheran at this time and unanimously endorse the Ayatollah's nuclear policies, clearly demonstrates the abysmal failure of Obama's initial policy of "engaging" with Iran and his subsequent decision to impose sanctions and isolate the rogue state...
Abbas Asked Iran to Help Establish 'Palestine'
According to PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas asked Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to help establish a Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, which they rejected. Abbas' meeting with Ahmadinejad took place on the sidelines of the summit of the 120-nation Non-Aligned Movement. Earlier this week, he threatened to pull out after Hamas's Prime Minister in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, announced he had also received an invitation to the summit.
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
When Israel makes apologies, enemies see it as a sign of weakness. When the President of the United States Obama apologised in Cairo, Islamists took it as an admission of defeat by the Western democracies! As a result, the Muslim brotherhood rules Egypt, Al Qaida terrorises Mali, Islamist gangs reign in lawless Libya, full scale civil war erupts in Syria and war is igniting in Lebanon. Interestingly, Obama did not support Shia 'democratic' movements in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia!
What about Jewish Arab Refugees?
The Foreign Ministry - along with the World Jewish Congress and the Pensioners Affairs Ministry - is ramping up its campaign to bring the issue of Jewish refugee rights to public and diplomatic attention. According to the Foreign Ministry more than 850,000 Jews from Arab states fled their countries of birth following persecution that ensued after the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. Many also had their property confiscated.
- (Arabs left Palestine - all 460,000 of them - following orders from their leaders, to facilitate genocide of the Jews by advancing armies of seven Muslim countries. Their number has 'magicly' doubled after the UN granted them a status of refugees with generous life-lasting benefits!)
International Aid Funding Terror
The Palestinian Authority has granted jailed terrorists hefty pay hikes for murdering Israelis, with salaries higher for those with Israeli citizenship. The PA, which has been screaming for foreign funds to stay solvent, spends 6 percent of its annual budget to pay $4.5 million a month to jailed terrorists and another $6.5 million to their families.
Egypt Put Terrorists In Charge of Security in Sinai
1) To keep the truce with the Islamist terrorist groups in Sinai in place, Egypt is releasing dozens of jailed Salafist gunmen every few days in batches, so feeding them a steady supply of reinforcements. Cairo is also in negotiation with Bedouin tribal elders to grant a body of 6,000 Al-Qaeda-linked Salafi gunmen the status of an approved, independent militia. Armed with up-to-date Egyptian weapons (paid by the US taxpayer), this militia is to be charged with responsibility for maintaining security.
2) A day after Egypt claimed to have completed a military offensive for cutting down Islamist terrorist activity in Sinai, Salafi gunmen attacked an Egyptian army post at Sheikh Zuweid in northern Sinai.
US Partly Responsible for Iranian Nuclear Threat
Israel's Vice Premier Moshe Yaalon said that mixed messages from foreign powers, including the US, were responsible for Iran not fearing a real military threat. Iran believes it can carry on developing a nuclear bomb without interference.
- (In 1990, similar policies of political ambiguity and irresponsibility, conducted by the US, caused Saddam Hussein to think that Iraq could invade Kuwait)
1,500-Year-Old Jewish Town Near Be'er Sheva
Archaeologists have discovered remains of a large 1,500-year-old Jewish town near Be'er Sheva, including two public ritual pools, or mikvehs and a synagogue or Torah study centre.
Israel Talks, Iran Doubles Nuclear Centrifuges
The UN International Atomic Energy Agency says the number of nuclear centrifuges, used to enrich uranium, more than doubled to 2,140 from 1,064 in May this year. In the weeks and months when Israeli politicians increased their talk of air strikes on Iran's nuclear sites, the Islamic Republic was rapidly increasing the enrichment capacity of its Fordow site, buried deep underground to withstand any such hit.
US Making Another Friendly 'Gesture'
Just days after a report that the US was sharply cutting its participation in a military exercise scheduled with Israel, US planes landed in Egypt Tuesday for a joint exercise. The exercise is one of a series of steps the US has undertaken in recent weeks to build ties with the regime of the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi. Washington is set to forgive a billion dollars of Egyptian debt as part of its international assistance program for Egypt. The debt will be dumped in the laps of US taxpayers. Egypt currently owes the US some $3 billion.
Is the "Red Line" Drawn?
The 14-member Security Cabinet, the body authorised to approve military attacks, met Tuesday to hear the annual intelligence assessments provided by the country's intelligence agencies. The 10-hour meeting is believed to be the first time in months that this body conducted an in-depth discussion on Iran that is believed to have included timelines. The situation in Egypt and Syria was also discussed. Uzi Arad, the former head of the National Security Council, said that they could include a declaration that any uranium enrichment beyond 20 percent would be a direct trigger for military action.
PA Should Pay its Electricity Debts or Else
Energy and Water Minister Dr. Uzi Landau wrote a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday, demanding his intervention in regards to a Palestinian Authority debt to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC). Debt accumulated by the Palestinian Authority to the company stands at more than 700 million shekels. The PA acquires 95% of its electricity in Judea and Samaria and 75% of its electricity in Gaza from Israel. Several months ago, Environmental Minister Gilad Erdan recommended that Israel cut power to Gaza in order to conserve electricity for its own use.
- (Sounds like a good idea! Israel regularly transfers collected tax to PA - why not withhold debt for electricity, water and compensation to Jewish victims of terror? After all, PA has funds to finance terror campaign against Israel!)
Compliment Haaretz Feel Proud?
French Ambassador to Israel Cristophe Bigot acknowledged that Israelis are portrayed in France as "occupiers who are against Palestinian aspirations" but, he noted, "that is exactly how Israel is portrayed in its own paper, Haaretz."

Quote of the Week:
"Helping the rebels (in Syria), however, neglects a fundamental question: does intervention in Syria against Assad promote our own interests?...As Sunnis finally avenge their nearly fifty years of subjugation by Alawis, a victory by the rebels portends potential genocide. The Syrian conflict will likely get so extreme and violent that Westerners will be glad to have kept a distance from both sides." - Daniel Pipes
- - 'Arab Spring', in its current form, is only advancing the cause of Islamic terrorists. True democratic evolution is needed, as priority, in Iran and Saudi Arabia, but nobody is interested in removing barbaric Islamic and Wahhabi regimes. When Israel strikes Iran, targeting of Islamic guard units and psychotic government institutions should be a major part of the attack.
Israel on Her Own - Wake up!
By US Gen. Martin Dempsey's assertion on Thursday, Aug. 30 that the US would not be "complicit" in an Israel strike against Iran, President Barack Obama was telling Israel: You are on your own! (since-when has US army personnel started making political statements?) The drastic reduction in the scale of next month's joint US-Israeli war game is disclosed. Instead of the 5,000 US troops originally assigned for Austere Challenge 12, the annual joint exercise, the Pentagon will send only 1,200 to 1,500 service members. The missile interception systems at the core of the joint exercise will be reduced in number and potency: Patriot anti-missiles will come without crews and maybe one instead of two Aegis Ballistic Missile Defence warships.
- (It is a well-known secret that the US government, even since the establishment of Israel, continuously undermines Israel's right for self-determination and prevents the Jewish state from delivering decisive victory against her enemies!)
Throwing Israel "Under the Bus"
While accepting Republican convention's nomination, Mitt Romney devoted a part of his speech to Obama's foreign policy, especially on diplomatic engagement with Iran: "We're still talking and Iran's centrifuges are still spinning," he said. "Every American is less secure today because he has failed to slow Iran's nuclear threat," said Romney. He accused Obama of having "thrown allies like Israel under the bus."
Defacto Dropping Jerusalem from Platform
Facing sharp criticism from Mitt Romney and Republicans, President Barack Obama ordered his Democratic party to reinsert references to G-d and Jerusalem in their party platform. Romney called the change a "shameful refusal to acknowledge that Jerusalem is Israel's capital." He accused Obama of distancing the US from its ally Israel.
- (They voted three times! Delegates were clearly equally split on the subject. Organisers were embarrassed, but pretended that they have 75% approval and made fake adaptation of the resolution! We need to see solid deeds, not hollow words!)
What will be after the Election if Obama Wins?
PA officials had originally announced that Abbas would submit a request for membership in the UN during the General Assembly session in New York at the end of this month. However, following American pressure, Abbas has decided to delay the move until after the US presidential election. PLO Secretary-General Yasser Abed Rabbo said that the PA would coordinate its move with Arab countries, the EU and members of the Non-Aligned Movement.
- (All of them are known anti-Semitic bigots!)
Israel Must not trust Obama
The Wall Street Journal says it is no wonder Israelis are upset when President Obama who is fond of saying he "has Israel's back" tries to sell "a make-believe world" of peaceful Iranian nuclear intentions, working sanctions and successful diplomacy. Obama sent CIA Director David Petraeus in a hurry to Israel on Sept. 3 to stem the rising ill will between Jerusalem and Washington, because neither the White House nor US top soldier Gen. Martin Dempsey is backtracking or apologising for his derogatory remarks about the IDF's ability to take on Iran.. The paper said that "since coming to office, Obama Administration policy toward Israel has alternated between animus and incompetence..."
