ELLSWORTH -The Grand and Ten Bucks Theatre Company are pleased to announce auditions for The Importance of Being Earnest, to be a fully-staged production at The Grand in May, 2012.

Audition Dates/Times/Locations:

Friday, March 2, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at The Grand,

Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at The Grand, and,

Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Ten Bucks Theatre's base at The Eddington-Clifton Civic Center (The Comins Hall), 1387 Main Rd, Eddington ME 04428.

The production will be directed by Ben Layman. The cast has 5 male and 4 female roles.

Last November, The Grand presented a staged-reading of 'Earnest'. "This production is a chance for us to collaborate with a successful local theatre company like Ten Bucks," said Grand Executive Director Zoe Alexis Scott, "and to re-ignite community theatre at The Grand."

Performances of Wilde's play will run from Thursday, May 10 through Sunday May 20, 2012. Tickets will go on sale March 15th and are $20 for adults, $18 seniors and $10 children (under 12), with a special $5 discount on ticket prices for members attending the Thursday and Friday performances. Tickets will be available at The Grand's box office by calling 667-9500 or online through The Grand's website Ticket prices include a $2 surcharge, part of which contributes to The Grand's Historic Preservation Fund.
