Qing Dynasty Traditional Wedding Gifts?

At an exhibit on Chinese traditional wedding: "Present from the parental home to an expecting woman. Weapons, stationery, sex education, toys. Qing Dynasty."

I went to Tongli yesterday (June 2014) and in one of the many houses there was an exhibit on Chinese traditional weddings. Letters of engagements, red clothes, boxes of dowry, old pictures.

A series of small instruments on a red cloth draw my attention: "Present from the parental home to an expecting woman. Weapons, stationery, sex education, toys. Qing Dynasty."

The full display which includes the objects shown in the photograph above.

I had to take a second look at the sex education element, just to decipher the (belated) teaching to the expecting wife.

P.s.: I'm no expert but that thing does not ring as Qing Dynasty to me.
