Christmas is coming and Chanukah faster than that.

This year, Chanukah in will start on Saturday, the 12th of December (sunset of Friday, the 11th) and will continue for 8 days until Saturday, the 19th of December. (A Jewish holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day for observing Jews.)

Chanukah, or Festival of Lights, is the celebration of the victory of the Maccabees and the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple. It also commemorates the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days

Tradition teaches that there was only enough pure oil to burn for one night, but a miracle occurred and the Menorah burned for eight nights, at which point, more oil had been pressed and purified.

Happy Holidays to one and all!

Christmas Facts:

Hey Girl!

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.

Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

We should've known -

ONLY women would be able to drag a fat-a $s man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
