MADAWASKA, MAINE -- The American Legion Riders of Maine are pleased to announce the location of their 2009 Summer Rally. This year’s summer rally will be hosted in Madawaska by the members of the American Legion, Thomas O. Cyr. Post 147.

The Madawaska Post is planning a July 24th Friday Evening Early Bird Barbecue. A Saturday Morning Breakfast a noon light lunch and evening supper. Also a Sunday morning breakfast before returning home.

Excitement is building as we anxiously await the onset of the riding season. Having an event which will take us into some of the most picturesque farming regions of the state will be a memorable experience that you won’t want to miss. Travelling along the St. John River Valley will take you through areas which have remained true to their original design for generations. Bring your cameras!

Currently Rider chapters are organized in Auburn, Bath, Caribou, Corinna, Damariscotta, Farmington, Madawaska, Madison, MechanicFalls, Minot, Poland, Millinocket, Oxford, Richmond, Rockland, Rumford, Topsham, Turner, Winthrop and York. Anyone interested in joining should contact the rider director in your area. Also anyone interested in starting a new chapter this spring should contact the State Director Paul L’Heureux at afdpal@aol.com.
