AUGUSTA, MAINE --  Senator Doug Smith (R - Dover-Foxcroft), congratulates Erica Lyford of Penquis Valley High School for achieving her 1000th career point for the Lady Patriots basketball team.

Lyford, a Senior and three sport standout at PVHS achieved this milestone against Penobscot Valley High School in January. "It is a remarkable achievement for a student-athlete to score 1000 career points. It takes incredible talent, hard work and dedication to reach this milestone,"

Smith said. "Erica is a leader both on the court and off and we are all be proud of her accomplishments."
