Educational Resource Services signs strategic alliance with school districts to offer solutions for classroom behavior problems.
Teaching today has never been more difficult. Failing to understand and respond appropriately to disruptive student behavior interferes with instruction time; resulting in declining academic skills, poor test performance and wastes education dollars. Research suggests that disruptive classroom behavior is the basic cause for teacher burnout and that there is a direct link between student misbehavior and placement into special education.
Educational Resource Services works directly with federal and state departments of education to provide professional development training for school personnel in areas of preventing school violence, managing disruptive classroom behavior, using Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies for struggling learners, teaching students with autism spectrum disorder, and school dropout prevention.
Educational Resource Services has signed an agreement to provide professional development training for school district personnel throughout the tri-state areas including Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine on February 17, 18, and 19. The training is scheduled from 8:30am to 3:30pm and will be conducted in Burlington, Concord, and Portland.
The training will focus on using specific strategies for responding to disruptive classroom behavior and is based on Dr. Johnson's highly acclaimed book; "Proactive Discipline for Reactive Students." Many school principals have already received a copy of this book.
With classroom behavior problems becoming more difficult each day this will be one of the most important seminars offered during the academic year!
