Whofish.org is an online resource for people to view state-by-state what's happening in their local area, and of course to get discounts for certain events.

Here are just a few things going on at the moment in Maine:

Wells, 9th Annual Native American Pow-Wow (7/16 - 7/17): Music, dance, crafts, demonstrations and special guests.

Fort Fairfield, Maine Potato Blossom Festival (7/9 - 7/17): Atreet dance, parade (on the 16th), car show, townwide yard sale, and of course, a beauty pageant to crown the new Miss Potato Blossom Queen

South Paris, Barn Fest - 30 Performers, 11 Acres, 7 Hours! (7/16): 40th Anniversary.

Augusta, Pirate Day at Fort Knox (7/16): Pirates of the Dark Rose swashbuckling sword fights, duels, cannon fire and pirate ship attack.

Bangor, Free outdoor movie~Stairway to Heaven (7/15): Screening of the 1946 classic. Part of River City Cinema's SUMMER SUBPOENA free outdoor movie festival in Downtown Bangor

Bar Harbor, BAR HARBOR MUSIC FESTIVAL (7/1 - 7/31): admission-free outdoor concerts in Acadia National Park

Presque Isle, Ride Aroostook (7/16 - 7/17): A two-day, fundraising bike tour to benefit children's health, specifically to support Camp Adventure, a summer camp for children ages 12-17 with Type1 diabetes.

Prospect Harbor, Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory and Fort Knox opens May 1 (5/1 - 10/31): The Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory and the Fort Knox state historic site provide a wonderful two-for-one attraction

Rockland, Music and Film: Charlie Chaplins The Kid (7/20): Come see the silent film as it debuted in 1921!

Rockland, Giant Book Signing with 10 Great Authors to Benefit the Maine Lighthouse Museum (7/23): Visit the museum for this Giant Book Signing Event from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 23rd. Ten Great Authors will be there! Planned activities by the children's authors!

Scarborough, CRAFTS AT THE CLAMBAKE (7/20): The Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen since 1968

Sebago Lake, Fire Department Comedy Fundraiser at Frye Island, ME (7/23): Fire Department Fundraiser at Frye Island, ME, with Paul D'Angelo, Dave Rattigan, Mitch Stinson, Jeanne Sullivan-Toomey. Doors open at 7 for 8 p.m. show. Tickets $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Waterville, Maine International Film Festival (7/15 - 7/24): Founded in 1998, the Maine International Film Festival (MIFF) is a project of the Maine Film Center.

Windsor, Open Farm Day (7/24): You will see various breeds of heritage turkeys; Pekin and Khaki Campbell ducks; Americana and Rhode Island Red laying hens and pullets; two varieties of meat chickens and chicks; pigs, and some beef cattle

Wiscasset, Twilight Tours at the Nickels-Sortwell House (7/21): a special early evening tour of this beautiful mansion.

Yarmouth, Yarmouth Clam Festival (7/15 - 7/17): Friday through Sunday, July 15 through 17, the 46th annual Yarmouth Clam Festival!
