Hope this is an earthquake free zone

The photos above were sent in an email and I don't have any further details to provide - except to say that they are certainly 'way out there' places to live. The next two photos were taken from my kitchen window and show other places to live.

Newer 'rich folks' houses beside the canal.

These are older styles of buildings and are actally of a 'village' within a larger more modern village. You can't really notice it in the photo but Tiger Hill is in the background. See links below

Taken in Suzhou on September 3rd. I recently moved from in Inner Mongolia. You can find the list of Baotou Inner Mongolia Photos of the Day here or just look through my column at Magic City. I will eventually do a photographic story of my train trip.

Went walking here with some local friends the other day - I entered by the Chinese 'back door' ('free')
