Congressman Mike Michaud met with Desiree Lavallee of Caribou and Michaela Lunney of Presque Isle in his Washington office. A photo of Michaud with the two students from Maine can be downloaded here (from left to right in the photo: Lavallee, Michaud, Lunney).

Lavallee and Lunney were in Washington to participate in the Future Farmers of America's (FFA) Washington Leadership Conference. During the five-day event, attendees learn how to become effective leaders by teaching them to know their purpose, value people, take action, and serve others. Maine FFA has nearly 500 members with chapters located throughout the state from Brunswick to Caribou.
