BANGOR -- Michelle Wittine, Assistant Store Manager of Hannaford's Bangor Mall Store invites everyone to participate in the 11th Annual Hannaford Golf Classic. On June 11, 2008, Hermon Meadows Golf Club will host the 18 hole tournament and auction. This year there will be one tournament to benefit two very important charities, the American Heart Association and the United Way of Eastern Maine.

Golfers are invited to participate on several different levels, from a 4-person team sponsored by a company to a 4-person team sponsored by individual team members. Eagle sponsorships are $1000 and include a 4 player tournament fee, Tee Sign and company logo on banners throughout the golf course; Birdie sponsorship is $750 for a 2 player team, Tee Sign and company logo on banners throughout the golf course; Par sponsorships are for 1 person tournament fee, Tee Sign and logo on banners throughout the golf course; Tee sponsorships are $150 and a Foursome fee is $400.

Monies raised for the American Heart Association and United Way of Eastern Maine will bridge funding gaps to provide crucial services in our communities. Hannaford is pleased to offer the opportunity to support these charities, and asks you to consider how you or your neighbors' lives have been touched by heart disease, or helped by one of the more than 70 programs supported by United Way funding in Eastern Maine.

To register, or get further information, please contact Janice Keith at United Way, 207-941-2800 ext. 214, or janicek@unitedwayem.org.
