Author's Comment on "The Battle of the Three Wills"

Ideas flooded my head as I contemplated writing a book. I settled on the theme of the title to the book "The Battle of the Three Wills." From that beginning I felt it necessary to build the basis for each of the respective "Wills" from the Holy Bible. With this background information as revealed by the Bible, it was obvious that God's Will was a Creator, Lover, Judge and Savior. Where Satan's will is diabolically opposed as a Want-to-be God, Hater, Deceiver and Destroyer. Man's will is to choose between God (good) and Satan (evil). .........So let the Battle begin.

After having established this foundation, I moved my emphasis to the topic of events happening in the World and asked the question(s):

How does God's Will relate to this matter?

How does Satan's will relate to this matter?"

How does man's will relate to this matter?"

Then I proceeded to use selected Scripture verses to answer the above questions in Chapters 9-27.

In summary, seeking and following God's Will in all matters is the imperative in the outcome of the Battle.

What lead me to write this book? Well, I have been a goal setter all of my adult life. In fact, at the end or near the beginning of each year I reset my annual goals. Then, I revise my long-term list of remaining goals for later in my life. In my long-term goals, I have included my intent to write a book. The book writing goal was added in 1973, but is has been pushed back for 40 years. Also the subject matter of the book has been up in the air until 2009.

The main reason for the delay in writing the book was because of my heavy workload brought on by the necessity and my commitment to manage our assets and investments. However, when the economy crashed in 2008, our portfolio was dramatically reduced and more time became available in my life. With more time to contemplate what to write about, I began going over ideas in my mind and praying for God's leading.

I have always been one who believes in the power of prayer. When praying, I asked for God's will to be done in my life. God has answered my prayer and laid on me the need to better understand and to share the information about the ongoing Battles between His will, Satan's will and man's will. He has also laid on me the burden of winning souls for His kingdom. As Christians, we are given the charge of the "great commission." With God's leading, I have covered these subjects in this book.

Matthew 28:16-20

"But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. And when they saw him, they worshiped him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in Heaven and on Earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

I pray that this book will give you a better understanding of The Battle of the Three Wills and carry out my charge of the "Great Commission." I pray for God's will here on earth as it is in Heaven.

In Christ's name. Amen.
