I guess the few I have heard preach never bought a book like this.

I've been holding this 'Photo of the Day' for the day when I didn't have a photo to show, but given that the big comet disaster is due to strike on Sunday I thought it was a good time to use the title 'Repent Ye Sinners'. (See also: Living by Faith in Science)

The photograph is one of several I found on an Australian Christian Website that I advertised on my own website. I did so as a favour to a friend from many years ago, who is currently allowing me to edit and publish excerpts from one of his books both here at Magic City and at Kingscalendar.

The Minister's Manual, 2011 Edition

The single most comprehensive resource for preaching and worship

For more than 80 years, The Minister's Manual has been the standard by which all other preaching annuals are measured. Still the same authoritative preaching tool readers have always enjoyed, the 2010 edition is relevant, attractive, and easy to use.

Designed to work with a broad audience of pastors and ministers, it includes a CD-ROM that allows users to access and reproduce all the text in the Manual. Ministers of all Protestant denominations-from charismatic to evangelical to mainline-will find this a vital preaching and teaching tool.

About the author:

Lee McGlone is senior pastor for the First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was an adjunct professor at the North American Baptist Seminary, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and has served as a pastor for over thirty-five years. He is a Ph.D. graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he also taught adjunctively in the preaching department. He has contributed to The Minister's Manual and has been its indexer for many years.
