These two books were recently listed in Magic City's "Christian Book Basket"

Heaven's Eagle by Rev. Daniel O'Neil was listed in Christian Book Basket No 3

According to Rev. Daniel O'Neil, God's training of believers is much like an eagle training its young. In his new book, "Heaven's Eagle", he unpacks this theory. A commentary on Psalm 91, the book explores the parallels between an eagle and the Holy Spirit. Rev. O'Neil, is a pastor who has dedicated his life to bringing the presence of the Holy Spirit to his congregation. He says that the Holy Spirit wants intimacy with believers and wants to train us to live our best lives. According to O'Neil, Psalm 91 tells a life story of an eagle that mirrors how believers can grow in the power of God's Spirit.

The Ethics of the Faith by Ean W. Burchell was listed in Christian Book Basket No 2

The Ethics of the Faith is Ean W. Burchell's attempt at a rational, objective analysis of the ethical implications of monotheism. It takes an objective look at the writings of the Old Testament. Burchell investigates the claims that each of these three religions has to bettering the lives of its followers. Through sharp, objective analysis -- a stance that is hard to come by in the realm of spiritual subject matter -- Burchell offers us a perspective on the real "good" religion does for us as people and as society.
