A "FOX IN THE FAMILY" by Jane King is a charming story about a family who goes out of their way to love, save and nurture any and all creatures that normally inhabit the countryside around their California home. This story is about two fox cubs and how they interacted on a daily basis with the family terrier dogs and cats and the two small children. It is a heartwarming story of a woman's love and respect for "God's" creatures that are often abused, neglected and abandoned by the humans around them.
This story is for more mature children and the subject matter will bring tears to one's eyes upon being read. One can only hope that there are more humans like the author "Jane King" who will step up and try their very best to save and support these wild creatures. I would recommend this book to others.
Martha Stevens-David.Jane King's home was a sanctuary, convalescent hospital and sometimes a burial ground for the local wildlife. In her new memoir "A Fox in the Family," King tells the story of Frisky and Friendly, the cubs that were rescued by her family from a barn that was being demolished. The family not only welcomed the fox cubs into their home, they welcomed them into their hearts.
