"Breaking Free" is a most amazing book because it simply amazed me to learn that the author, Winter Page, is a freshman in high school and is only fifteen years old!
I was transfixed by the author's ability to tell the truth about the pain, suffering and degradation these poor "trans-gender" children must endure simply to survive.
This story though short in pages, speaks volumes for those of us who are trying to make sense of the role, through no fault of their own, that life has handed them. And thinking back to when I was the same age as the author, I can well-remember that there were several youths in our high school who just didn't seem to fit in and none of us students could ever understand why.
I feel that this book should be compulsory reading for all, young and old alike, because it carries a message that all human beings need to be made aware of.
This is a great work for such a young woman. Well Done!
Would I recommend this to others? Absolutely!
