Welcome to Doha.
I just got back from the dress rehearsal of the opening ceremony for the 15th Asian games to be held in Doha, Qatar between Dec 1st to 15th 2006. The Asian Games is second to the Olympics and although the participating nations are only from Asia but I can assure it is just as great as the Olympics, since there are many Olympic athletes from Asia. So this event is international and not just Asian. Doha or should we say Qatar is buzzing with Asian games fever.

Response to Mr. Devolin (take two)
Again, I would like to thank Mr. Michael Devolin for reading my articles and
adding to the tally of the many readers who form part of my readership. It also
gives me pleasure that he has become a critique of my work, as I am thousands of
kilometers away from his home town of Ontario, and thousands of miles from Maine
and Millinocket, yet I have someone keeping a tab on my work.

Ramadan
The month of Ramadan for a Muslim is the home coming; it is the month in which Muslims get closer to GOD, the month that devout Muslims wait for every year with impatience. For a Muslim fasting in Ramadan is better than fasting other times during the year. It is the time of worship, spirituality, love, caring, giving, tenderness, patience, sharing, unity, charity, the month of the Quran. Ramadan is the month of fasting by day and standing up in prayers for several hours by night.

Did Mohamed Write the Quran? ( part 2)
The fact that the prophet Mohamed (PBUH) was unlearned, illiterate he answered I cannot read and when we go down to the fifth verse we see that is says GOD taught man what he knew not, the prophet (PBUH) was one referred to as the one who knew not because apart from being unlearned he was not in the position to know all the things that were going to be revealed to him in the 23 years to come.

Who Wrote the Quran? Did Mohamed (PBUH) Write the Quran? (part 1)
“Quran” means that which is to be recited, it was revealed through out a period of 23 years as an oral tradition. It was originally revealed in the language of Arabic, and memorized in the hearts and minds of millions from the day of its revelation to date. So the Quran has to be recited, and it is recited five times a day by Muslims all around the world in Prayers, plus it is recited all the time from the “mus-haf” the written form in Arabic all over the world. One of the Miracles of the Quran is that it is recited in Arabic in most parts of the world where there are Muslims, yet only a small percentage of the 1.2 billion Muslims are Arabs, however many Muslims make it a must to learn the language of Arabic in order to understand what is being recited and implement it.

In Defence of the Truth (continued)
“There is none other worthy of worship but Allah and Mohamed is the final messenger of Allah”. This is the foremost pillar in Islam, the belief that there is only one true GOD and that Mohamed (peace be upon him) is his last and final messenger. The belief and conviction in this is what makes a Muslim. This is the Article of faith, the testimony that makes or breaks a Muslim. The prophet Mohamed being part of that article of faith means so much to 1.2 billion Muslims. In the Quran Muslims are required to enter into Islam fully meaning in a way not to make Islam just lip service and also to practice the religion in full.

In Defence of the Truth
In light of the events taking place concerning the publishing on a Danish newspaper and eventually other European papers too, of blasphemous cartoons of the prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him), in the name of freedom of Expression, I feel it is only too right, in the name of freedom of expression, to put pen to paper and communicate with the readers over this issue.

Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence
Dec 25th is approaching; millions of people around the world will celebrate Christmas, the celebration attributed by Christians as the birth of their lord, Jesus Christ. But do we really know where Christmas really comes from?

The Universality of Religion
One point that makes a religion the true religion of GOD is Universality. It
must be universally understandable and universally attainable in the past,
present and future and it must continue eternally to be understandable and
attainable throughout the entire world.

Lost Cities and Perished Nations (From an Islamic Perspective)
In the wake of the events that are taking place at the moment (the earthquakes and the tsunamis), we ask ourselves why a thing like this would happen; others may even go as far as asking why GOD would allow such things to happen?
